Who We Are

Turning On The Gas

Inspired by their father, and neon pioneer, Dean Blazek, Jay, and Michael Blazek move from Antigo, WI to Seattle, WA to open Western Neon in 1985. Known as one of the West Coast’s first galleries devoted to light, space, and interactive technologies, their nascent project would go on to be revered as a singular destination for custom neon fabrication.

Passing The Torch

As the gallery grew into an established sign shop, Western Neon moved into the hands of new owner André Lucero in 2012. He expanded the business and moved it to a new location while completing iconic projects across the Pacific Northwest and beyond with PCC, Nike, Microsoft, Rainier Beer, Seattle City Light, Rachel’s Ginger Beer, Seattle Art Museum, and Chihuly Studio.

Lighting Up Seattle

It’s been a long road, but from 1985-2020 Western Neon evolved from two artists and a gallery of light into a team of skilled, creative problem solvers that engage a wide variety of complex projects. Looking to the future, Western Neon is now WN: a unified working philosophy for custom design and fabrication focusing on signage, interiors, and public art for all aspects of the built environment.

What We Stand For

Western Neon believes in hard work, dedication to craft, and creative collaboration. We know that perfection is a journey, not a goal. In all of our endeavors, we trust a concept, design, build process to deliver the very best.
