Western Neon is pleased to collaborate with Pike Brewing on their continuing renaissance of the Pike Place Market for their newly added restaurant space Tankard & Tun. The addition features a tiered oyster bar, public and private dining, and a casual beer deck featuring both stunning views of Elliot Bay and glimpses into the expanded fermentation cellar.
Inspired by classic collector tankards, the definitive vessel for sipping cold craft beers, and the large casks that create them – Tankard & Tun is a nostalgic throw back to turn-of-the-century brewhouses by the sea and a forward-thinking location for light, bright bites. Pike Brewing mainstays, such as their famous IPA and Pike Place Ale, are served alongside new favorites like Seafair Summer Ale and Monk’s Uncle Tripel. Taps are on a rotating basis, so the beer is as sharp as the season.
Pair any of these curated creations with Chef Gabe Spiel’s selections of Pacific Northwest bounty like fresh salmon and sea beans for a perfectly designed full meal or happy hour gathering.
To highlight Tankard & Tun’s sense of history, Western Neon created a custom-designed blade sign shaped like a flag. This unique way finder mounts to a vintage ship mast that features their soon-to-be infamous octopus graphic logo and eponymous namesake rendered in an icy-blue neon script. Their sign is both a nod to the past and future, perfectly blending with Pike Brewing’s mission to serve the best in legendary craft beers with cutting-edge, locally-sourced fare for a perfect Seattle experience.
