Electric Coffin was asked to design the exterior double sided pole sign for The Deck food court. Electric Coffin outsourced Western Neon to fabricate and install the 4’2″x6’10” sign. “The Deck” cabinet is made from aluminum, painted teal with 10 and 12mm CL65 white exposed neon backed with opaque white vinyl letters. The arrow, also made from aluminum, has a 1/2″ retainer and 3/16″ white acrylic face with translucent sunflower vinyl to showcase the inner white LED illumination. The LED randomly “spills” from the back to the point of the arrow for a sparkling effect. The arrow is emphasized with a beautiful 15mm CL65 white neon border. Lastly, the three circular tenant signs showcasing the inner restaurants, contains a 1/2″ retainer painted black, and 3/16″ white acrylic faces with digital print graphics.
The Deck food court in South Lake Union, which includes Li’l Woody’s, Evergreens Salad, and Juju Beet, opened towards the end of 2016. With many businesses and jobs opening in the booming neighborhood, the opening came in perfect time to help relieve the overloaded lunch rush! The Deck is conveniently open for the SLU crowd on weekdays with shared indoor and outdoor seating available. Don’t worry Seattleites, their outdoor seating has fire pits and heaters!
