Taylor Shellfish needed a sign for a new retail store and wanted their logo of a crane standing atop wood pilings Incorporated into their sign. We wanted to give them more than vinyl graphics on an acrylic face, so decided to make a 3 dimensional representation of their logo. The biggest challenge was trying to create some light weight, realistic pilings to sit on top of the main sign cabinet. We found some faux logs that are typically used in home construction that did the trick. Add a silhouette of a crane, aqua neon to represent the water and white neon for the copy and their logo came to life. This sign has become a great addition to the many unique landmarks in Seattle.
