November 2023 Project of The Month: Cole’s Tavern, Mukilteo

In the heart of Mukilteo, a new gem has emerged that seamlessly blends history, family legacy, and a passion for hospitality. Cole's Tavern, a recently opened bar, is not just a watering hole but a culmination of a lifelong dream for Cole, whose roots in the hospitality industry run deep.

As young adults, both Cole and his partner, Britana, served as servers and bartenders at various local Seattle establishments. After years of working in the industry and honing their skills, the duo decided it was time to turn Cole's childhood dream into reality. Thanks to the previous owner, Kosta, who lovingly nurtured the space for 27 years, Cole and Britana have taken the reins with a commitment to continue the legacy of care and pride. The result is Cole's Tavern, a warm and inviting space that beckons both locals and visitors alike.

What sets Cole's Tavern apart is not just its cozy ambiance or carefully crafted drink menu, but the genuine passion and love that permeate every corner. It's a place where patrons can sense the rich history and dedication that has gone into creating a space that feels like an extension of the community.

Open seven days a week, 365 days a year, Cole's Tavern is not just a bar; it's a testament to the dreams and aspirations of a family deeply ingrained in the hospitality fabric of Mukilteo. As you step into this charming establishment, you're not just a customer; you're a part of Cole's dream, a dream that has finally found its home in the form of a welcoming tavern in the heart of the community.

The signs adorning Cole's Tavern are not just symbols; they are meticulously crafted pieces of art that reflect the essence of the establishment. The production process involves a fusion of traditional craftsmanship and modern fabrication techniques, resulting in signs that are not only visually striking but also a nod to the legacy of the hospitality industry.

Crafted from durable aluminum, the signs boast a robust foundation, ensuring longevity and resilience. The addition of exposed turquoise and clear red neon injects a vibrant, retro allure, evoking a nostalgic charm reminiscent of classic neon signage. The faces of the pole and entry arrow signs, made from backlit acrylic, contribute to the sleek finish while enhancing visibility. The backlighting ensures the signage remains prominent, day or night, adding to the inviting ambiance of the tavern. This fusion of Fabricated Aluminum, Exposed Turquoise and Clear Red Neon, and Backlit Acrylic Faces not only reflects the tavern's contemporary style but also stands as a testament to the craftsmanship and attention to detail that defines Cole's Tavern.

Western Neon takes pride in extending its luminous artistry to the lovely patrons of Mukilteo, enriching the local landscape with our dedication to precision and aesthetics.
