February 2024 Project of The Month: Von’s 1000 Spirits, Woodinville

In the heart of Woodinville, a haven for culinary connoisseurs and spirit enthusiasts awaits. Von’s 1000 Spirits Woodinville beckons with its enticing offerings: true Seattle Sourdough, bespoke spirits, scratch cocktails, and the legendary Wagering Wheel. Strategically positioned down the street from Woodinville Whiskey and neighboring the esteemed Novelty Hill Winery, Von’s stands as a testament to the region's rich culinary heritage and spirit culture. As we celebrate the essence of Von’s 1000 Spirits Woodinville, we are thrilled to unveil the culmination of our partnership with Western Neon—a project that embodies the spirit of craftsmanship and innovation.

Upon approaching Von’s, guests are greeted by a striking canopy sign, adorned with vibrant neon borders and double-faced push-thru acrylic signage that evoke a sense of warmth and excitement. Blackened steel finish has been used on the double-faced sign for a more textured and rustic appeal. Crafted with precision and attention to detail by Western Neon, this sign serves as a beacon, inviting patrons to embark on a culinary adventure unlike any other. As day turns to night, the neon borders cast a soft glow, creating an enchanting ambiance that sets the stage for memorable experiences.

Stepping inside Von’s, guests are enveloped in an atmosphere of warmth and sophistication, where every detail tells a story. Exposed neon wall signs shine in the kitchen, and bar.
The decision to utilize script font for the internal neon signs was a deliberate choice aimed at enhancing the ambiance and evoking a sense of nostalgia and charm. Script fonts, with their flowing, cursive letterforms, exude a timeless elegance and sophistication that perfectly complement the atmosphere of Von's. Additionally, script fonts possess a sense of warmth and personality that resonates with guests, inviting them to feel at home and immerse themselves in the dining experience. By incorporating script font into the internal neon signs, we sought to create a cohesive and visually captivating environment that reflects the essence of Von's—refined yet approachable, elegant yet welcoming. The choice of script font not only adds to the overall aesthetic appeal but also serves to reinforce Von's brand identity as a destination for exceptional dining and hospitality.

Adding an interactive element to Von’s interior is a wood and metal fabricated wheel decorated with cut vinyl. This interactive feature allows guests to engage and discover new flavors and experiences, further deepening their experience at Von’s. The Western Neon team personally loves this sign as it presented us with a unique opportunity to expand our skillsets and venture into uncharted territory. While we may have had little prior experience with such a project, it ignited a spirit of innovation and curiosity within our team. As we embarked on the creative journey, we were challenged to think outside the box, pushing the boundaries of what we thought possible. The process not only allowed us to hone our craft but also sparked discussions about future possibilities and the endless potential for exploration and growth. With each new project, we are inspired to push the envelope further, exploring new techniques and technologies to bring our clients' visions to life in unexpected and exciting ways.

As we reflect on this substantial project, we are filled with gratitude for our continued partnership with Von’s 1000 Spirits. Their unwavering support and appreciation for craftsmanship have allowed us to bring our creative vision to life, enriching the dining experience for guests and creating lasting memories. Together, we look forward to continued collaboration and the opportunity to delight patrons with innovative designs and unparalleled hospitality.
